Homework 8

FINAL GAME PROPOSAL

For next week, I want you to prepare a document outlining your FINAL GAME. This document can take two forms, depending on whether or not you are going to start a new game or keep working on your MIDTERM GAME. During crits today we will discuss which option will be best for each one of you.

If you are starting a new game, then you should create a complete GAME DESIGN DOCUMENT for your game idea next week. See homework 5 to review what is expected in a game design document.

If you are continuing with your existing game, I want you to create a PROCESS DOCUMENT. Take this time to stop and think. Evaluate what you've done, be realistic, and set some goals for yourself. This document should be around 2 pages long and can be organized however you'd like, but please address the following:

• Breifly describe your initial idea was. (Refresh our memory)
• Describe what you've done and how you did it.
• Describe you discovered by doing it, including:
• What problems you ran into.
• How you dealt with them.
• How has the project changed since you started?
• Self critique of the game in its current state.
• Where you want the game to go from here, including
• Defining specific goals for your final game.
• Providing a timeline and milestones for the final three weeks.

YOUR COMPLETE GAME WILL BE DUE THE LAST DAY OF CLASS:
DECEMBER 19th.
